Once in a life time experience I had an opportunity to embark on a spontaneous trip with a veteran mountain trekking friend who had prior experiences of ABC and EBC, both with Pasang Sherpa, the founder of Virgin Nepal Trek as her guide. I can see why my friend would repetitively have Pasang as her guide for Nepal trips, as my trip itinerary Manaslu Circuit Trekking, known as MCT, was well planned and customized. Despite being a developed route, it is still less travelled compare to popular ones like EBC. Pasang helped with clearing the mountaineering pass days before our flight to Nepal and secured us a responsible and trustworthy porter. We had 10 days of Trekking starting with Machha Khola, all the way to Tiliche. As a newbie to high altitude mountain trekking, for the first two days when my energy level was high, we trekked an daily average of 25km, from 900m to 1900m. As we had to gradually climb up steeper slopes on the third day, I felt a bit exhausted and started to slow down. Pasang did not chase my pace, but patiently guided me through on all kinds of terrains, warned me of tough trails on rocky cliffs, and encouraged me to carry on. On the 8th day that we were aiming for the Larke Pass (5100m), we were asked to leave at 330AM, Pasang gave me a mental massage-as I called it. He pinpointed to me that what I went through was equally difficult to everyone, but people tend to avoid saying it out loud. I just need to focus on every step, and it would finally lead me there. Along the way, he was also caring and catered to every need of ours, including having a daily serve of apple slices, repetitive refilling of drinking hot water, and even allowing us to have alchoholic drinks when the next day is an easy day. I am grateful that Pasang was my guide and I sincerely hope Pasang and his team and company will thrive and help more passionate mountain trekkers reach their destinations.

"Great experience with Virgin Nepal Trek"

I just completed my EBC trekking with Pasang Sherpa. This was my third time coming to EBC region, but first time with Pasang Sherpa as my guide. My main purpose for this trip was of two fold: one was to undertake a closer observation on the great mountain Ama Dablam, which has been always my dream mountain in recent years; the other was to take serious landscape photographs at three major locations (which was part of my Deep Mountain photography project) - Ama Dablam Base Camp, Kala Patthar summit, and Gokyo Ri. With the help from Pasang, my goals were all achieved.Pasang is a reliable and dedicated trekking and climbing guide, I must say that without his support and help, I could not achieve my goals of this trip.I should also thank to my porter from Lukla, he was such a kind person and carried most of my photography gear and other stuff through out the entire trip.Here are some photos from this trip attached.
